Nancy Hanks Memorial

Good morning,

This is the Nancy Hanks Memorial on the Lincoln Homestead in Kentucky. This is the foundation of the home in which she lived when she moved to Kentucky. The foundation has been made into a memorial to her.
She met and married Thomas Lincoln here.

The Lincoln Homestead State Park in Kentucky is a wonderful step back into the history of the United States.

We stopped here on our way to Bardstown, Kentucky.

My Honey and I enjoy stopping at historical sites while we are on our road trips.  It is so good that these places are preserved for everyone to be able to visit.

One of our fellow bloggers is Abraham Lincoln, cousin of our US President Abraham Lincoln.  You can visit his blog here.

Enjoy,
Lois

I am thinking one of these days I will talk my own honey into going here...I just cannot express how much I have enjoyed your and your Honey's posts.

The memorial words by Abraham Lincoln to his mother brought tears to my eyes. These are some of the best places to visit, to actually walk where these people lived.

A lovely memorial. My husband especially loves these historical places, anything historical as a matter of fact. Thank goodness for the History Channel! But seriously, there is nothing better than visiting a historic place in person.
