Presbyterian Church of Wyoming

Good morning,

We recently visited Wyoming, Ohio, where I grew up.
This was my church back then and it still looks very much the same.  That wall closest to the camera with the name on it was not there back then.  It's a nice addition.
I went in this door many, many times.  And, I remember coming out and passing the minister, Rev. Dr. Ted Sperduto, as he shook hands and shared a few words with everyone.
 I remember the bells ringing.
I could hear those bells from home about four blocks away.
In a time when everything in our country seems to be changing, it feels good to go back and see this beautiful church still here on the corner of Burns and Wyoming Avenues in Wyoming, Ohio.

 Very best,
Lois

A beautiful stone church. They don't build them that way anymore. . . what a shame.

Wyoming, Ohio has some pretty churches. I have a friend who lives in Centerville. Is Wyoming close by?

HI Lois...I loved hearing the church bell ringing, but that doesn't seem to be the norm anymore.
I find that kind of sad...lovely building and wonderful memories!!

What a beautiful Church! I love anything made of stone, and churches made of stone, seem all the more holy to me. Don't know why. They just do. Thanks for sharing!! ...debbie

Hello everyone,

Wyoming is a thriving community with a nationally recognized school system near Cincinnati, Ohio. No, Ricki Jill, it's not very close to Centerville.

It is comforting to know there is something still the same these days, isn't it.

Thank you, everyone, for stopping by and for your kind comments.

Very best,
Lois

Beautiful church. I love the details.

Re: your question about the horses - no, they're not wild or I'd have never gotten so close, but I just don't know who they belong to. However, there is actually 4 herds of wild horses in Shannon county very close to where I took that pic... they're well known in the horse community all around the U.S.

I love the old church buildings. The newer ones just don't seem to have the style and class that ones like this one do. Lovely photos and good memories.
