Front Porch Lilies

 Good morning,

These are new this year and they do not disappoint!  I bought the lilies and pots at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. There were six separate plants that I planted three-each in two planters.  The flowers hadn't bloomed yet, so I was guessing that the color would be at least similar to the picture on the label.

I planted two pots of these to go on the front porch next the yellow mums that I've had for years, but that don't bloom until much later in the summer.  I'm thrilled to have the deep pink/red color for the Fourth of July.

Container gardening has been my salvation for the overwhelming desire to get outside and garden again.  My back is just not willing to do all the work I used to do in the garden, but having a few containers of flowers, veggies, and herbs certainly is fun!

Happy Summer!

Lois

I love container gardening, too. I just put some bargain-bin chives that were about to die into a fabric "bag" and they seem to be perking up. Your lilies are just gorgeous. So pretty they are just showstoppers.
