A Visit to the Doc

Good morning,

Catherine and I took the "kids" to the doc recently.
Erik and Penny had appointments, but Wendy came along to offer moral support.
Erik's news wasn't so great.  He has been favoring one of his back legs so we were here to find out why.  It seems he has torn a ligament and will need surgery.  Surgery will be scheduled later this month.  Poor guy will need to stay calm for several weeks after surgery.  Hmmm.  I wonder how that is going to work out.
Penny got a checkup and a chiropractic adjustment.  Here she's watching the floor as the exam table is being raised.

All of our pups just love coming here.  They especially like the treats they get after their exams.  And, Penny's breeder is the doc's assistant, shown here with Penny.  It's all in the family.  ;)

Aside:  a few days ago I showed you a new blanket the pups were given by one of Catherine's tax clients.  In today's images they are wearing scarves the same lady made for them.  How very kind of her!

So sorry to hear about Erik. If you can figure out how to keep a Lab calm, let me know! I like that moving table. Never saw those before. My vet's office has cabinets with counter tops. For bigger dogs, they examine them on the floor.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog!! Much appreciated!
Sorry to hear about Erik's news.
Two years ago, my little dog, Finn tore his ACL and had to have surgery. While he recuperated, I didn't go hiking. I felt guilty not taking him with me.
Last June I had knee replacement surgery and of course, Finn didn't go hiking without me! Now, we're both healthy and hiking again!

Surgery's never good news neither for human beings nor for animals. Let's hope it all goes well with Eric during and after surgery.

So sorry to here that Erik needs surgery. To keep him quiet you are going to have to sit next to him and hold his paw. I hope you can knit while paw holding!
