More Towel Art

Good morning,

Here's a towel design created by our cabin steward.  I haven't seen this one before.

It is quite big.  It is surely a flower, but also reminds me of a serving bowl chips and salsa.  ;)

Enjoy,
Lois

Captain's Corner - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

It is that time of the week again - time for another Captain's Corner.
I consider this the comedy half hour of the week.  These guys have some great information to share and are also rehearsing their stand up comedy as their retirement plan.
Seated left to right are Captain, Staff Captain, Hotel Director, and Chief Engineer.

Enjoy!

Arcadia Theater and Officers - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

Today's images are of the Arcadia Theater aboard Freedom of the Seas.
The major show productions as well as other events are held here.
On the first forma night of the cruise the Captain welcomes guests...
...and introduces the Executive Committee.
Left to right:  Captain, Hotel Director, Chief Engineer, Staff Captain.
And, then the future cruise consultant is introduced.  Yes, you can buy a cruise while you are on a cruise.  ;)

After the introductions, the production show begins!

Cruising is such fun!

All the best,
Lois

Artwork - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

This is hallway artwork aboard Freedom of the Seas that I don't think I have shared here yet.
As much time as I spend here, I am constantly coming across something I don't think I've seen before.

Just beautiful!

Grandeur of the Seas at Port Canaveral

Good morning,

As we were sailing out of Port Canaveral aboard Freedom of the Seas we passed one of our sister ships, Grandeur of the Seas.
For Grandeur, Port Canaveral is a port of call.

It is always fun to see our sister ships.  They are some of the most beautiful ships out here on the high seas.

Enjoy,
Lois

Airport Chauffeur Service

Good morning,

I drove less than an hour from Port Canaveral to Orlando to pick up our daughter Catherine and Aunt Carol to cruise with us for a week.
A "cell phone lot" is provided where those of us waiting for passengers can wait until we get the call from our passenger that the plane has landed before we go to the terminal.  Of course, this avoids lots of traffic of cars waiting for passengers who aren't there yet.  Very efficient!
This wasn't their plane (they arrived on Delta), but I could watch planes arriving and departing as I waited.

Although it is necessary to take a ticket when entering the lot now, those of us who are there for a short period of time waiting for a flight are not charged.  I am sure the airport is delighted we are not sitting in front of the terminal while we wait.

A great week of fun with family is ahead!

All the best,
Lois

Rain Storm at Sea

Good morning,

I took today's pictures through our stateroom window aboard Freedom of the Seas.
The views change moment by moment while you are at sea.
This isolated shower across the water from us was spectacular.

Enjoy,

Good morning,

The water in Cozumel, Mexico, is just gorgeous.
Today's pictures are of three different tours you can take here to get close to that water.
 Gone fishin'!

Needlework and Wood Update - August, 2015

Good morning,

My how time flies!  It seems I just wrote the July Needlework and Wood Update and here it is time again.

The lovely sweater above is a special order design that was fun to design and make.  The lady who ordered it described colors and what she wanted and then gave me license to design her sweater.
This is a lap blanket in my favorite colors.  :)
This hat shown above is sized for preteen to small adult.  At this writing, it is still available in the shop.

I also made quite a few more hats to restock the shop...

I also restocked the shop with Luggage Identifiers:
It is amazing how helpful these little identifiers are when you travel.  I was able to easily spot our luggage from the other side of the airport luggage carousel because of these tags.
And, finally, My Honey made three more pens...
...and two more pepper or coarse salt grinders for the shop.
Even with all the travel during the past two months, we have still kept ourselves busy making some of our favorite things!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing them as much as I enjoy seeing what you are crafting, baking, growing, and photographing.

This page is linked to our shop, Evensens Productions, so those who stop in there can see what is new for the shop every month.  We sincerely appreciate your encouragement and support.  We recently passed the 400 mark of items sold in the shop.  That is pretty exciting considering all of our items are hand made by us.  We get orders from many different sources;  thank you for noting on your orders that you are blog readers.

We now return to our regularly scheduled blogging.  ;)

All the very best,
Lois

A Stroll on the Royal Promenade

Good morning,

I snapped a few pictures as I strolled down the Royal Promenade of Freedom of the Seas.
There is plenty to eat and plenty to buy here.
Ah, yes, and plenty of choices for things to drink, too.  ;)

This stairway leads to the casino one deck below.
It is hard to pass the wonderful aromas here without stopping for a piece of pizza.

Every time I walk down the Promenade I see something different happening or for sale.

If I didn't know I was on a cruise ship, I would think I was on a small village street in Europe.

Enjoy,
Lois
