Goldfish Pond

Good morning,

Our little gold fish pond is so much fun.

I took these images with my phone early in the morning while there was partial sun and partial shade on the pond.  Our new little puppy, Wendy, was outside with me, but has been very wise to avoid getting into the pond.  She likes water and her pool, but knows better to take a dip with the goldfish.
The water lilies have grown in the pond for eight or ten years now.  The have beautiful pink flowers when in bloom.

So pretty.

glad she leaves them alone! here they'd be snapped up by herons, egrets or raccoons.

Wonder what my dawgs'd do in that situation? Probably jump in... once.

Nice little pond, and very clever of Wendy not to get in. Perhaps the older dogs have been giving her advice.

Oh, so pretty, Lois....having a calming affect on me even with the distance from here to there.

It looks like a lovely pond. I always think having a water feature in the yard would be nice but then we have such a small yard and maintaining one would probably fall on me so we don't have one. I like yours though.
