Scarlet Ibis

Good morning,

What spectacular color!
These beautiful birds live in the Brevard Zoo in Florida.
Oh, hi!  Are you looking at me?

Oh my goodness! That Ibis is just gorgeous - and it's obvious I've never seen one of these before. What a thrill!

Beautiful! Many years ago we visited a zoo where there were flamingos. I heard that long time ago they couldn't understand why the flamingos in the zoo lost their color. It was before they knew that the color came from carotene from food they ate, just like the sign here says. When they started to give them the right food to eat, the color came back. It is very interesting!

Beautiful bird! It looks like it's been dipped in a paint pot.
