United States Coast Guard - St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.

Good morning,

We are still in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.  The day was so pretty and we had the time so we walked around the dockside.  The US Coast Guard is so very important to all of us when we are at sea.
The USCG not only protects our US boarders, they provide security for ships sailing into and out of the ports.  They also provide for medical evacuations from ships at sea when necessary and in addition to their many other duties.

These are wonderful people and we greatly appreciate them.

All the best,
Lois

I can well imagine they do a wonderful job. It would be very comforting to know they'd be coming to the rescue!

THinking about you this morning, Lois, hoping that y'all are well out of Isaac's way! It looks like it might be making a beeline for Alabama!!! :/

Thank you for your concern. In real time we are at sea today ahead of the storm heading to Port Canaveral - arrival tomorrow AM. Port of Miami and Port Everglades are being closed by the USCG. It's quite rocky, but we are fine. No extra charge for the rock and roll. ;)

I hope you are safe where you are, Ricki Jill!

Thanks to you both for stopping by and for your kind comments.

Hugs,
Lois

I was wondering where you were in relation to the storm. Glad to hear you're running ahead of it!
