Penny's Weekend

Good morning,

Our eleven year old Labrador Retriever, Penny, has had another busy weekend. 

In people years, she is more than 77 years old yet she still brings home ribbons from AKC agility trials.  She's a fantastic canine athlete who gets excited about going to the shows the minute the car is being loaded with show equipment.  She's running in "preferred" class now, which is for senior dogs and she is having a fabulous time!

We are so proud of Penny and her handler, our daughter, Catherine.

All Sprawled Out

Good morning,

Sometimes the pups do the cutest things. 

We gave Wendy a Kong, a large rubber dog toy, filled with treats and she went to work getting those treats.

It was so cute how she sprawled on the floor to work on her project. 

What a sweetie.  It sure kept her busy!

Gravlax Breakfast

Good morning,

It's fun to be home again and preparing our own food.

My Honey made gravlax and eggs that we enjoyed on my freshly baked bread.

Ah, what a lovely way to start the day.

A Great Neighbor - A Dog's Best Friend

Good morning,

At the very back corner of our property at the rear of a neighbor's garage wall, our yard overlaps with a friend's yard by about six feet.

Our sweet neighbor, Elsa, is also a dog lover and often has a treat for our pups. 

Our little Wendy, the Yellow Lab, and her pal Teddy, the Border Collie pup, are quick to notice when Elsa is in her yard...

...because Elsa so often has treats that she shares!  :)

It is so cute to see the excitement and accompanying wagging when Elsa is out in her yard!

Anniversary Dinner

Good morning,

As much as we love to cook and eat at home, we went out to celebrate our anniversary at an romantic table for two in Parker's in Cincinnati. 

The pictures were taken with my camera phone, but are still nice enough to have and share.  Above is a crab cake appetizer...

...which was followed by prime rib with all the accessories...

...and finished with brulee cheesecake.

Yes, the food was delicious, but the company was fabulous!
