Come Walk With Me - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning! 

Come take a walk with me.

This is the walking and jogging track on deck 12 of Freedom of the Seas.  To me, it is a walking track.  ;)  The track passes in front of the Viking Crown Lounge.  Beyond toward the aft of the ship are other sports areas.

We are all tied up in St. Maarten today so many people have gone ashore.

 We have had very windy weather so last night the deck chairs were tied down.

 And, here I am coming around to the front of the ship once again.  The walking track extends around the pool and the forward of deck 12.  4.5 laps = 1 mile.

Yes, it is very necessary to work off the desserts!

Oasis of the Seas in St. Maarten

Good morning,

I took these pictures of Oasis of the Seas in St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies, from deck 12 of Freedom of the Seas. 

I was standing on the world's second largest cruise ship taking pictures of the world's largest cruise ship.  These ships are amazing.

I am not the only person standing on Freedom's deck admiring Oasis.  :)

While we are out here at sea we see some gorgeous private boats.

I spotted this one in St. Maarten. 

Note the helicopter on the back deck.  Oh, yeah....

Oasis of the Seas

Good morning,

As we pulled into St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies, aboard Freedom of the Seas, the first thing I saw from our living room window was the Oasis of the Seas, another ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet.

Oasis is the largest cruise ship in the world and is so big that I had to take two pictures to get all of her.  ;)

Freedom of the Seas - Captain's Party Formal Event

Good morning,

Each week aboard Freedom of the Seas the Captain hosts a Welcome Aboard Party on the Royal Promenade.  Above you see two of the Freedom Singers and Dancers entertaining the crowd from the bridge over the Royal Promenade.

This is an opportunity to have a formal picture taken.  There is no charge to have the pictures taken.  When you see them, you may purchase them if you like them.

This is a formal event...

...and the champagne is courtesy of the Captain.

Black Swans - Brevard Zoo

Good morning,

These beautiful creatures are at the Brevard Zoo, Viera, Florida.

The swans are in a lovely enclosure where the people can pass on wood walkways or by train.

 What a beautiful pair!

One of the great advantages of a zoo located in a warm area is the ability to have open display areas where animals and birds can be in comfortably in habitats similar to their own.
