To the Beach!

Good morning,

Here are more images that I haven't shared with you yet of our visit to Cocoa Beach last January. We are in the area again now and I'm taking even more pictures.  :)
From our Hampton Inn there was a very convenient board walk to the beach.
There were beautiful plants and flowers all along the way.
And, just in case you wonder if you are on the right boardwalk on the way back, there's a sign.
I've published other pictures from this beach in the past.
Looking back up the hill we could see condos overlooking the sea.  What a lovely place to live.

 Such a lovely afternoon!

 Building sand castles....
It was a lovely afternoon.  In real time we are in Florida still wandering around enjoying ourselves.

More images to come as soon as I have time to format them!  :)

Best,
Lois

Cocoa Beach or Bust!

Good morning,

The weather is gorgeous today for this part of our trip from St. Augustine to Cocoa Beach.
Getting close!

Off in the distance we can see the cruise ships in Port Canaveral.  We will spend some time in Florida before we go to the ship.

 So much blue!

My Honey has meetings for a few days.  After the meetings we hope to have some time to take some pictures here in Florida before we board the ship next weekend.  Stay tuned!

Best,
Lois

Farm House Restaurant - Lake Park, GA

Good morning,

The Farm House Restaurant is one of our regular stops when we are in the neighborhood in Lake Park, Georgia.  We like to patronize local restaurants whenever possible.  This one has great home made food.
You know the food is good when these guys eat here. ;)
This is on the front porch.  Does this look like a part of a still to you, too?  ;)
The Farm House is adjacent to a small mall where we like to stop into the Black and Decker store.

Time to get back on the road!

More images tomorrow,
Lois :)

Rainy Day Road Trip

Good morning,

In real time we are on the road again headed South to Florida.  These pictures are from the last time we headed South when it rained most of the way.  I'll catch up with more current images very soon.  The above image was taken early in the morning as we passed Xavier University near our home.
As we got into Kentucky, the rain stopped, but the skies remained cloudy.
It is amazing how fast this trip went to Atlanta.  Here we are entering a tunnel under a runway at Atlanta's airport.
As we came out the other side, we were "buzzed" by several very large aircraft!

Please stay tuned for more images of our road trip.  We will spend a few extra days on the road this time before boarding the ship.

All the best,
Lois

Fernbank Wild Flowers

Good morning,

Today's images were taken at Fernbank Park on the banks of the Ohio River West of Cincinnati.

It was a gloriously beautiful day to take pictures.  I don't know the names of all of these flowers either dried or fresh, but that doesn't mean I enjoy them any less.  I do recognize that dandelion.  ;)

These flowers are in the narrow strip of land between the mowed land of the park and the Ohio River.

 Little white butterflies were everywhere.
What a beautiful place to wander, think, and take pictures.
 Enjoy.

All the best,
Lois

Delicate Lace Curtains and Rough Wood Walls

Good morning,

Just one image today.

I found the delicate lace curtain hanging inside of this window in contrast with the rough wood of this log cabin outside to be quite beautiful.

So lovely in Southern Indiana.

Enjoy,
Lois
