This was so good! I tell myself it is healthy to eat salads and it certainly is, but this was definitely not a diet salad.
This is a Catherine Creation of lettuce, bacon, cheese, more cheese, cheese dressing, tomatoes, egg, and onion. It was fabulous!
I'll diet tomorrow.

Good morning,
We have an octopus in My Honey's wood workshop! Actually, he has configured quite a complex vacuum system to collect sawdust from his various machines.
It gets noisy down there when this thing and the other machines are running!
It is fun to be retired.

I took this picture of Erik as he sat on top of me to wake me up yesterday morning.
Until our Penny passed last month, she was known as Queen of the Canines around here. Now Erik has the title of King of the Canines. Although he still misses Penny, he seems to like his new status.
He's a very handsome guy, but also very heavy when he decides to sit on me!

Last week Trevor came to visit, yesterday it was his litter brother, Topher. Topher stopped long enough for me to get a picture of his pretty face.
Catherine took Topher to her office so he could meet lots of people and learn about different environments. It's all part of his socialization to meet new people and go new places.
What a cutie!
Enjoy,
Lois
I sat down in my Lazy Boy recliner and put my feet up when I suddenly got TWO Yellow Labs on my footrest. Generally, only one of them has difficulty staying balanced there.
This lasted for all of ten minutes until Elsa (right) got down. It's tricky to balance on the footrest, but they are both determined to do it whenever they can.
So Precious!

Daddy and I had morning coffee in the recreation room while we chatted about what he planned to make for the shop. I took these images a few days ago.
Happy Sunday!

Good morning,
This is a follow-up to yesterday's shrimp party post. For lunch the day after the shrimp party, we
made up plates of yummy shrimp, this time with capers added, in the
kitchen and headed to the living room to enjoy it while watching TV.
As soon as we sat down,
we had LOTS of help!but they do keep a sharp eye on our progress.
With those eyes, it appears they need to be recharged, don't they!
Yes, of course, we shared with them.

We had a great family birthday party for Catherine. That cake was the dessert, of course, but the candles weren't lit and blown out in this Covid-19 year. They do look very nice, don't they - and the cake was delicious!
Oh, and there was plenty of shrimp left for lunch tomorrow!
Happy birthday, again, Catherine.

This darling little Brittany puppy came to visit us early one morning when it was still dark outside. He's a new baby in our friend Erica's family and is here to spend the day with Catherine at her office to enjoy some socialization with a variety of people.
Elsa looks so big next to Trevor!
He sure is a cutie! His litter brother, Topher, will also be visiting us.
Puppies! Such fun!

A friend of ours at our dog club, Queen City Dog Training Club, carved this garden rock in memory of our sweet Penny.
Of course, it will become a treasured part of our garden.
Thank you so very much.

Happy Birthday, Catherine!
Today's is our one and only daughter's birthday! The image above was taken while she was on board with us while daddy was working at sea.
Over more than 20 years we celebrated many, many of Catherine's birthdays at sea. This is the day Daddy retired in 2016 after 31 years with Royal Caribbean and 50 years at sea. This is the All Crew presentation on stage in the main theater with Captain Toni (Catherine gave him the t-shirt) on the left and the entire Cincinnati Gang here to celebrate. I provided the "I'm Retired" t-shirt for Kjell.
And, here's a picture of Daddy with his entire Marine Engineering Department. It was so much fun for all of us to be here. Thanks to Captain Toni and Hotel Director Xavier for making the retirement week so special.Catherine has been Treasurer of our AKC Queen City Dog Training Club for many years now. Of course, our pups love to go with her for classes and competitions.
And always has time for the pups.
We know who is under there!
Happy Birthday, Catherine!
We all love you!
