Good morning,
It feels so good to be traveling home again after ten weeks at sea. We certainly enjoy our time at sea, but it is wonderful to get home to family again, too. The first day we traveled from Port Canaveral to a Hampton Inn near Savannah, Georgia, then on to a Hampton Inn in Dandridge, Tennessee.
This is a new exit on I-95. I love the creative names of roads. ;)
Near Savannah there is a great deal of Spanish Moss on trees. This dead tree covered with moss made quite a pretty design.
We passed this military museum...
...and this construction equipment manufacturer. We always think of children's Tonka toys spread out around the lawn when we pass here.
I have enough pictures of bikes tied onto cars, trucks, and RVs to make a post of their own. ;)
It's that time again! If we are not home, we always get absentee ballots and vote wherever we are.
See? More bikes. :)
And, here is what we have been waiting for: going into the mountains. These foothills are a welcome sight.
Soon those mountains were higher and higher. The images are taken through the windshield so aren't the best, but I am glad we have them. This is the way we saw it, reflections and all.
For the tail end of this post here's a tail of a tiger that is surely inside this car. ;)
It feels good to be on the road again! Our planned itinerary has changed a little, but we are having a great trip home.
All the best,
Lois

I would imagine that getting one's feet on solid ground again, would never get old. Love Di ♥
I love your road trips Lois, gets me antsy to take one.
Wishing you safe and enjoyable travel, Lois.
Looks like you have good travel weather. Be safe n enjoy the beautiful landcape in the mountains.
i always like to see your mountain shots, too. :)
My brother used to have the nickname of Tiger as he was growing up. Lots of tiger stuffed animals, etc. So the tail on the car was a good one to see. I'll have to share that with him.
Vacations are fun but it is always nice to go home thank you for taking us with you on your journey
A funny and interesting ride!
Nice series of photos. Love that dead tree! It's fun to be gone, but more fun to get home.
First off, love the hills of GA. Secondly, I'm glad Bud wasn't in the car as you drove by the Military museum...we'd still be there. LOLOLOL
Hope your Thursday has treated you well.
Ten weeks away is a long, long time. I bet you're anxious to be at home for a while.
Lois, hope you have good travelling weather all the way home to Ohio.
Always good to be on the road again and able to call your time your own. Have a safe trip home.
