St. Maarten Dutch West Indies - Shopping!

Good morning,

The shopping at the port in St.Maarten is extremely convenient to cruise ship passengers.
Just a short walk from the ship and you'll find all of the shops at the port that also have stores in downtown St. Maarten across the bay.
And, you can pause for refreshments.  :)
If you don't want to walk the short distance back to the ship you can hop on the free tram.
We did some window shopping.

But, we didn't stop for any refreshments. ;)
In addition to the big name shops, there are local vendors at the port.
After a sort time ashore we walked back to the ship.  It's fun to have a different place to take a walk every day while you are on a cruise ship.

All the best,
Lois

Oh, after seeing that store called GUAVABERRY I'm now craving a guava! It's been years since I've had one, and our tree died a long time ago. :)

How do you not spend every penny you earn? Duty free shop galore!

Hi Lois, it's been a week or so since I have checked all my favorite blogs and today I caught up on your current and past posts. I see you have been on the road and now onboard and wish you a wonderful (and safe) journey. The Cruise for Paws event (hope I got that name right) looked like a wonderful event for humanines and canines alike. Hope all the 4-legged visitors were well behaved cause I kept wondering about "potty" stops on board :-)

That looks like a lovely place for a stroll and some window shopping. When you visit these stops as often as you do you don't feel compelled to do as much as possible in the short amount of time you have at each stop.
