Snow!

 Good morning,

Here comes the snow.  On the right is our bird house that we can watch from our living room.  There's a camera in there that sends us close-up images of visitors.

I took this image of the back yard through a clear section of our leaded glass in our hallway.
When we had this window made, we had two little sections made with clear glass so we could have a view of the back yard.  We're so very glad we did that!

This window replaces on that was removed by a previous owner.  We are sorry we don't have an image or description of the window that was removed, but we could see the brackets for it so knew it was there.  When we moved in, there was frosted (bathroom type!) glass in this window.  It provided light, but had no personality at all.

All the best,

Lois

Berries

 Good morning,

These are berries on our ground cover that has left the ground and covers an old tree stump.

Mother Nature's beauty.

Enjoy,

Picnic in the Rain

 Good morning,

Our sweet little birds enjoy the food we provide in our bird feeder outside our living room doors.  Sometimes they take it to the porch for a picnic.

Precious.

It's That time of the Year

 Good morning,

It's that time of the year to enjoy our fireplace.  There is just nothing like the warmth of a cracking fire when it is cold outside.

Happy December!  (And, for our friends Down Under, Happy Spring!)

Evening Sky

 Good morning,

This gorgeous sky greeted me when I stepped out of our back door.

Wow!

Chicken Necks!

 Good morning,

Our friend, Bill, brought us another 50 pounds of chicken necks and backs that are a part of our pups' raw diet.  He brings them directly from a butcher on his side of town so the chicken is very,  very fresh.

Kjell packs them into plastic containers that we freeze until we need them.

Of course, there are six extra eyes watching this whole process.  And, yes, all chicken must be Lab Tested before it is packed and frozen.

Sleepy Puppies

 Good morning,

The pups spend most evenings nearby in the living room as we watch TV.  I'm busy knitting or crocheting while Kjell is working on his computer.

That's Wendy above, so totally relaxed in Catherine's recliner.

Our Elsa's nickname is Peanut because of the strange ways she gets comfy.

And, Erik is next to my chair.  I didn't use a flash because I didn't want to wake him.

The funny part of all of this is that they are so close they sometimes have us blocked in so we have to step over these bodies to get out of our chairs.  Elsa always manages to escort me when I go upstairs because she knows she'll get a half a cookie in payment for her diligent protection.

Life is good.
