Here Comes the Snow

 Good morning,

It's definitely winter here.  We have been getting snow almost every day.  The weather hovers right around freezing, though, so it is often gone within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Lots and Lots of Comfort Food

 Good morning,

You've seen a similar meal before.  This is Kjell's now famous pork meat cakes, a Christmas meal special, but now an all year treat here.

This time I bought six pounds of freshly ground pork and Kjell made enough meat for six meals.  We ate one of the meals tonight, will have another tomorrow night, and we've frozen four meals for the future.  He spent quite a few hours in the kitchen doing this today, but we will enjoy the food other evenings when we don't have to spend so much time in the kitchen.

More Mail for Elsa!

 Good morning,

Elsa continues to bring home the blue ribbons and titles!  This new one just came in the mail.

Elsa loves Agility classes and trials!  When Catherine starts to load the car to go, Elsa gets all excited and can't get into the car fast enough.

She's a true champ!

The Best Pizza

 Good morning,

The best pizza is pizza you make yourself.  I made this one last night and had all the good stuff on it:  bacon, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, and way too much cheese (which is just about right for us).

I managed to snap a picture of it while Kjell was slicing.

 As is the tradition with pizza here, we sat in front of the TV to eat it.  As you can see, we had three Lab Testers present, too.

Yes, they each got some.  They declared it to be quite excellent pizza.

Grumpy Chic Mittens

 Good morning,

It seems Bernie and his mittens are everywhere these days.  For those who knit, there's a free pattern available on the LionBrand.com web site.

I'm not a fan of mittens so won't be making them, but I do have some lovely original coordinating intarsia hats in the shop here.  ;)

This is getting funnier and funnier.  Even the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra had Bernie sitting in the audience at Cincinnati Music Hall on their Facebook page.
