Spring Grove Cemetery - Erkenbrecker Memorial

This is the Erkenbrecker Memorial and is the final image I took during our photo journey to Spring Grove Cemetery this Fall.. 

Andrew Erkenbrecker was the founder of the Cincinnati Zoo.

Huge Leaves - Tree Identification

Good morning,

Back in Seventh Grade we studied different types of trees that grow in Ohio.  We didn't have the Internet then so our research was in text books and at the library.

I don't remember all of the things I learned back then so I tried to find the name of this tree on line without any luck.

Does anyone know what kind of tree this is?

I wear a size 9 shoe.  That is one huge leaf!

Grandeur of the Seas in Port Canaveral

Good morning,

This is Grandeur of the Seas in Port Canaveral. 

Port Canaveral is a port of call for Grandeur.  Aboard Freedom of the Seas we see her here every two weeks. 

Royal Caribbean ships all have a distinctive look highlighted by the round Viking Crown Lounge at the top.  She's a smaller version of us.

This is another lake in the Spring Grove Cemetery.  I love the way the grounds are kept as natural as possible.  This low hanging branch is a magnet to photographers.

Swans on the Lake - Spring Grove Cemetery - Cincinnati, USA

Good morning,

When I took piano lessons when I was about eight years old one of the first pieces I learned was "Swans on the Lake."  I can still play it, but that's about all I can play now.  ;)  The lady up the street gave me the lessons although we didn't have a piano at home.  I didn't get a piano until many years later.

This beautiful place is another lake on the grounds of Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.

So elegant...

"Gertrude!  They're taking pictures!"

 "Whoops, sorry...."

 "Have they left yet?"

Time for another tasty treat from the bottom of the lake.  ;)

Ginger Bread Village - Freedom of the Seas

Good morning,

It is fun to watch the Christmas decorations as they appear daily in December on board Freedom of the Seas.

This beautiful Ginger Bread Village display is on Deck 11, in the restaurant area.
