Good morning,
This American Crocodile lives very comfortably at the Brevard Zoo in Florida.
He looks innocent enough, doesn't he?
But, I don't think I want to get close.
I don't want to take the zip line over the Crocodiles, either!
"Hmm, is that food passing over?"
"Yep, that's food!"
Oh, my!
I'll leave others to enjoy this adventure!
All the best,
Lois

Interior of Navigator of the Seas After Dry Dock
Good morning,
Today's images are courtesy of our dear friends, Martha and Russell.
They took these pictures during the first cruise after Navigator of the Seas came out of dry dock and a major make over.
You may notice the inside of Navigator of the Seas looks somewhat the inside of the ship I am on, Freedom of the Seas.
That is because the ships are sisters in the same fleet, but are different classes or sizes of ship.
Navigator is slightly smaller than Freedom, but has all the same beauty and a few differences in design.
Shown are various dining and entertainment venues aboard Navigator.
This is a lovely, spacious stateroom with balcony.
Hallways are bright and beautiful...
...and artwork is to be found all over the ship, including hallways.
The nice lady seated at the table in the above image is our friend Martha...
...and this is our friend and her husband, Russell.
Thank you so very much, Martha and Russell...
...for sharing your pictures of this newly renovated ship!
Enjoy,
Lois

Departing Cozumel, Mexico
Good morning,
These are the last images of the departure of Freedom of the Seas from Cozumel, Mexico, and of the exterior of her fleet sister, Navigator of the Seas. See yesterday's post. Tomorrow's post will feature images of the newly refurbished interior of Navigator sent to us by Martha and Russell who were on board Navigator of the Seas for this first cruise out of dry dock.
As the light of the day faded into evening pastels...
...Freedom of the Seas pushed away from the dock...
...that she shared for the day with Navigator of the Seas.
Navigator's gangway had also been removed...
...and her lines dropped in preparation of departure.
As Freedom pulled away from Navigator, the evening light provided beautiful views of the ship across from us.
The traditional ship horn "goodbye" blasts were sounded...
...and guests waved and cheered.
Pushing further away...
...both of these beautiful ships...
...were on their way to the next ports of call.
Gorgeous!
Enjoy,
Lois

Run! Don't be Late!
Good morning,
That's the dock in Cozumel, Mexico, in the image above. Those people are running!
This is how they look without the zoom on my camera.
These are people on their balconies on Navigator of the Seas leaning over to watch as their fellow cruisers ALMOST miss the ship.
I am standing on deck 4 of Freedom of the Seas taking these pictures. Look carefully to see the reflection of our ship name in the balconies in the center of the image.
The ship canyon echoed with the cheers of guests on both ships as the Navigator guests ran to get on board before the gangway was removed.
Oh, my, how confident! They are down to a "stroll."
At the bottom of the image you can see the ship officer walking to meet the late-arriving guests...
...to escort them on board.
All this time there are cheers and jeers coming from people leaning over the sides of both ships.
He is preparing to remove the gangway!
That is the ship's agent still on the dock.
The safety officer is probably communicating with the bridge for instructions to remove the gangway.
And, off they will go to the next port.
More departure images tomorrow....
Enjoy,
Lois

Evening in Cozumel, Mexico - Freedom of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas
Good morning,
I took today's pictures from Deck 4 of Freedom of the Seas.
We were tied up in Cozumel, Mexico, on the opposite side of the dock from our fleet sister, Navigator of the Seas.
The ships are beautiful in the evening light as the ship lights begin to appear.
And, here again, is the famous ship canyon formed when two huge ships are tied up at the same dock.
More Cozumel images to come. :)
All the best,
Lois

Waving to Friends - Ship to Ship
Good morning,
Is this fun or what!!!
Those are our friends Russell and Martha standing on the balcony of their stateroom aboard Navigator of the Seas. I took this picture while standing on Deck 12 of Freedom of the Seas.
No, Russell doesn't usually wear a University of Texas - Dallas orange scarf and hat on a cruise ship; he is posing with it to show me how good it looks since I was the one who knitted it. ;) Martha is also wearing something I knit, that pretty pink sweater.
Martha and Russell, it sure was fun seeing you in Cozumel when our ships were both there at the same time! We look forward to seeing you again soon. :)
Huge hugs,
Lois

Waffle Cakes - A Saturday Treat!
Good morning,
Yes, that's a Saturday treat in that image. I built that myself. ;) That's what I call a "double" everything.
I've shown you similar Saturday treats, but usually arranged differently in a big stack.
Norwegian Waffle Cakes, strawberries, whippy cream, and ice cream. *sigh*
Now for a few dozen walks around the deck. ;)
Enjoy,
Lois
