Towel Animals - Mariner of the Seas

 Good morning,

When on a cruise ship, it's fun to come back to your cabin and find towel animals created by your cabin steward.

I want to say the one above is a puppy...

 ...and perhaps this is a cat.

Cafe Promenade - Mariner of the Seas

 Good morning,

We enjoyed our late mornings aboard Mariner of the Seas while sitting on the Royal Promenade enjoying coffee and watching people.

 Here Captain Tor is picking up his morning coffee and chatting with guests.  He is one of the most personable captains with whom we have ever worked.  

Ah, yes, being back on board was fun!

Beach Buggy on the Royal Promenade

Good morning,

It's traditional on larger Royal Caribbean ships to have a car parked outside one of the restaurants on the Royal Promenade.

On some of the ships, it's a sports car.  Here on the Mariner, it's a beach buggy being driven by a big fuzzy teddy bear.

Very cool.

Top Tier Event - Mariner of the Seas

 Good morning,

The Top Tier Event on Royal Caribbean ships is a way for the company to recognize loyal cruisers.

 We got there pretty early so were able to enjoy the Mariner of the Seas Orchestra while we watched people file into the theater.

 And, then the event began.  Captain Tor explained the various levels of the loyal program,

 then introduced those who had reached new levels.  

When cruising extra benefits are given to those who reach various levels.

It was fun to see the proceedings.

Elegant Staircase Aboard Mariner of the Seas

 Good morning,

The Mariner of the Seas is a gorgeous ship as are all in the Royal Caribbean Fleet.  

There are so many photo opportunities around the ship.  This staircase is between decks three and four.  

When cruising with friends, this was one of many perfect spots for group pictures.

Junior Suite

 Good morning,

I've been asked about the accommodations on board cruise ships. These are only a couple of images of a Junior Suite aboard Mariner of the Seas.  

In addition to what you can see in these two images, there is a full bath (with tub) and a walk in closet. 

Needless to say, this was all quite comfortable.  Just lovely.

Had I known I would share images of the suite, I would have taken more of them.

A Royal Caribbean cruise is the best vacation you can have.  Yes, it sounds like a commercial, but I truly believe it.  You check in, wake up in a different port almost every day and enjoy leisurely days at sea on other days.  You only unpack once.  You have a choice of restaurants and a wide array of entertainment venues.  And, I just love not having to do the dishes!  OK, commercial over....
