Chimney Cell Tower

Good morning,

What do you do with an old chimney other than tear it down?  You turn it into a cell phone tower.

This one is just a few miles from where we live.  Works for me!

I took today's pictures while we were out on a shopping trip near home.  It's deep in the winter and the sky is a cold, cold blue.  The shot above shows snow clouds middle right, too.

Ah, yes, Spring, I am ready for you!

Needlework Update - January, 2015

Good morning,

This month's Needlework Update includes items finished since the December update and not yet shown here on my blog.  It has been a busy travel month that also included holidays, but I still managed to finish a few items for gifts to give, for custom orders, and for our little on-line shop.

Above is my Pink Lovers Large Afghan Blanket.  It will be a perfect gift for a special Valentine.  ;)

 Also just perfect for Valentine's Day is this Nordic Intarsia Knit roll brim hat. :)

 For Ohio State fans, here's a scarlet and gray Nordic Knit hat, this one with a ribbed brim and pom pom. 

Another little "painted" turtle was "hatched" this month.  :)

This black and white cowl scarf was a custom order...

...as was this green cowl.

The first green cowl turned out so nicely that I made another one for the shop.

 I also made more hats to restock the shop.  These are in the Hats and Caps section of the shop.

We Found Daddy!

Good morning,

I snapped today's pictures with my phone camera when I went down to the basement laundry room to do a batch of laundry.

I don't go very far in the house without Penny, Erik, and Wendy following me.  They got SO excited when they got to the basement and found Daddy in his wood workshop which is right next to the laundry room.

They are helpful, but Daddy can't get much work accomplished with them wagging him into a corner.  ;)

The pups are so precious!

This Week's Foodie Fotos

Good morning,

It's time for the foodie pictures of the week.  That's a crab cake in the image above.  My Honey and I enjoyed a romantic dinner for two at Parker's Blue Ash Tavern a couple of nights ago.  We really enjoy this place and their great food.

The crab cakes were followed by onion soup.  Oh, so good on a cold winter night!  I missed showing you the fresh bread and a couple other courses.

Then, filet mignon with a side of garlic shrimp. 

Delicious!  We were good, though. we skipped dessert.  ;)

As much as we love to cook at home, it sure is nice to go out once in awhile and let someone else do the cooking and wash the dishes.

Warm Tummy and Toes

Good morning,

It's REALLY cold this week, but Wendy knows how to keep her toes and tummy warm.  I leaned over the side of the love seat to take this one. 

That's a very toasty, happy dog there.

This was my sweet little helper when I was trying to photograph some items for the shop. I was able to take the pictures, but then had to sit down and hold the baby for awhile.

Matched Pair - Penny and Wendy

Good morning,

We're home so the puppy pictures are all jumping into my camera once again.

Today's images were taken while My Honey and I were enjoying some cheese while working at our computers.  Wendy (left) and Penny (right) watched each and every cheese cube go into our mouths.

Of course, they got some, too.

It's so good to be home.
