Needlework and Wood Working Update - November, 2026

 Good morning,

Welcome to this edition of our Needlework and Wood Working Update where we collect images of all items finished in our needlework and wood working studios since the last update.

Above is a Nordic Intarsia Knit hat that is hand knit and one of a kind.  What a bright and beautiful way to go into cooler weather this year!  More information and images can be found here.

Here's a similar hat in Yellow and White.  More about this one is here.

Here's a large to extra large basket weave hat that is super soft and a pleasure to wear. The hat rolls up to fit in your coat pocket and is a great gift for a man or a woman.  More images and information here.

This was the month to make a few brightly colored hats.  The dark days of winter can be dangerous so bright colors are a wise choice.  This cloche hat can also be used as a chemo cap.  This one is here.

Here's a similar hat in bright yellow.

 This one is Mint Green.

I restocked the Navy Toilet Tissue Topper sold recently, too.  This one is available to ship now.

This New Large Afghan Blanket is Extra Warm.  It tops a Full or Twin bed or can be used on your couch or recliner.  The special yarn is medium blue with highlight/flecks of color that adds texture and warmth.  See more images and information here.

Kjell has been very busy with his computer this month turning images into three dimensional artwork to carve.

Here's my Viking in unfinished maple wood before finishing.

 And, here it is finished.

Kjell did such a beautiful job on his Viking carving that he did the same with our three girls.

The first two images are different angles of the Elsa carving.

The next two are Wendy...

...and here is Lily.

Here they are displayed on a shelf in our dining room.  Sorry, these are not available in the shop. We're keeping them.

These take a tremendous amount of time for Kjell to make, but they are so worth it.  They are beautiful!

So, that's what we have been doing recently.  We hope you'll stop by our shop, Evensens Productions, when shopping for yourself and others!   We have more than 300 original and traditional hand crafted items available to ship now.

All the very best,

Lois
