Fall is here to stay now with very comfortable days and cool evenings.
We had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Last night we had movie night and enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace. We watched two movies (avoiding politics these days) and when Catherine came home she began watching another. We were just too tired to stay up for a triple feature.

Catherine sent me this video she took when she had our pups at our friend Erica's home yesterday. It seems Elsa can't figure out why the pool cover is on the pool. Hopefully, there's no damage to the pool cover!

Autumn is gorgeous in our neighborhood of old houses and old trees. I snapped this image through the car window as we were coming home from the grocery this week.
Soon, the days will be gray and dark, but then the snow will come which is very pretty, too.
Retirement is good. We only have to go out when we want to go out.

Not much happens in our neighborhood that gets past our pups.
Wendy (left) has always been happy on her throne keeping an eye on neighborhood activities. Elsa is backup, and when either of them makes a noise, Erik shows up as well.
I've rearranged the dog beds since Penny left us last month. She had enjoyed that spot next to the window to watch the happenings outside. Now the other pups take turns on that bed.
The dogs watch the mail lady deliver our mail without any fanfare. The first time they saw her and barked, I told them, "That's OK, she's the mail lady...." Now they are content just watching, but don't bark at her. They are such smart dogs.

We have an excellent pre-wash cycle for our dishwasher. Elsa was happy to help with this baking dish that had just been used to make our chicken for dinner.
