New Collars for the Kids
Good morning,
The pup's new collars have arrived! I order new ones every once in awhile and most are shared among the four "kids."
That top nautical collar is great for our dock divers. Erik will look quite distinguished in it, too.
The purple hippo collar is in honor of our neighbor the famous Fiona the Hippo who was born and lives at the Cincinnati Zoo, only moments from our home. She is a wonderful neighbor.
All of our pups are stars so that red collar with stars is pretty for any and all of them.
And, of course, Halloween is coming! We surely won't be going door to door this year, but the reflective collar is great for any year that we do end up doing that. In the past, the pups have dressed up to go to the club, but I'm not so sure we'll be doing that this year with the social distancing rules in effect.
I've ordered collars from Canine Design for years. Their collars are unique, well made, and service is fast and efficient.
Although our pups don't usually wear collars at home, I'm sure you'll see pictures of them wearing some of these at events in the future.

Little Zinnia - So Pretty!
Good morning,
A friend gave me a few zinnia seeds that I planted in a flower pot on the patio. The plants grew, but I saw no signs of flowers until yesterday when this sweet beauty bloomed.
Such a sweet ray of sunshine on the patio!

Finally! The Cake!
Good morning,
We have been celebrating Kjell's birthday all week and finally enjoyed the cake! The best part of the cake was the cream filling. Oh, yum!
Of course, before we could have cake, we had to have dinner. Catherine made a fabulous strip steak dinner this time, complete with salad, scalloped potatoes, asparagus....
Happy Birthday, again, Honey!
Love,
Lois and Catherine, too.

My Inspiration Just Keeps Blooming
Good morning,
The inspiration for many of the things I make comes from nature. I took the picture above yesterday. This one little African Violet plant continues to produce flowers almost constantly week after week, year after year.
The beautiful colors of the African Violet growing and blooming in the sun on the table on the left are what inspired this afghan blanket. More images of it are here.

The Perfect Birthday T Shirt
Good morning,
That's a picture of the front of the t-shirt I gave Kjell for his birthday. It just jumped out at me when I was looking for just the right thing and found this!
Of course, he's a retired Maritime Marine Engineer, now in charge of all sawdust that is produced in his basement workshop.
The birthday fun continues!

Norski Food at Jungle Jims
Good morning,
As part of our birthday celebration week for Kjell we had an outing yesterday to the wood store, then to Jungle Jim's International Market, a truly amazing place.
Here's a link to their web site for those interested. Click on the various departments to get a feel for the place. It's huge!
Jungle Jim's has foods from all over the world, but what we go there for are the Norwegian delicacies. Pictured above is the Scandinavian section, but there are other Scandinavian items scattered throughout the store.
The celebrations continue!
