Good morning,
A few days ago we traveled North from Cincinnati to visit my brother in Delaware, Ohio.
Ohio has excellent farm land. Above you see corn in the field. It'll be excellent on our table later in the summer, too!
Along the way there are farm equipment stores that remind me of giant Tonka toys. :)
It was fun to see my brother and we enjoyed the road trip, too.

On the Needles Now
Good morning,
In my Work In Process this week are two colorful hand knit sweaters that are my own original designs.
In the foreground is an adult size Patchwork Sweater that is a custom order so it has priority to be finished first and on its way to Australia. My Patchwork Sweaters are my original design and each is different from the next. I make them in all sizes for children and adults; in stock now are several in children's sizes. Customers from around the world are enjoying these sweaters in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and elsewhere.
There is a back story to my Patchwork Sweater. I was watching a popular children's movie with my grandchildren when they saw a similar sweater on one of the lead characters. They liked it so much, I designed and made one for each of the grandchildren and have now included them in our shop where I discovered they are also very popular with adults.
Click here to see Patchwork sweaters available to ship today or write to me at Lois@EvensensProductions.com to order a sweater in your size. Prices vary according to size. You can also select other color combinations of your choice such as blues/greens, blacks/white/grays, earth tones, etc. Click here to see all 345 shop items.
In the background (top of image above) is a Basket Weave purple, magenta, and blue sweater in adult size 34"-38" chest size. The Basket Weave sweater will be available in the shop after I complete the ship the custom order sweater in the foreground.
It's already time to prepare for cooler weather here in the Northern Hemisphere. We're working hard now to stock the shop for Back to School, Halloween, and Thanksgiving.
What are you making, baking, growing, photographing today?
All the best,
Lois

Last weekend Wendy and Catherine (our daughter and Wendy's handler) competed in another American Kennel Club Agility Trial.
Our baby, Wendy, brought home two First Place Blue Ribbons!
Yay, Team Wendy! We are so proud of Wendy and Catherine!

Penny's Platypus
Good morning,
This is our Penny, our sweet twelve year old Lab.
Penny's taking a nap in our sitting room where we all spend a great deal of time. It's so cute that our pups all seem to think the blue platypus is so very special. They get new toys every time they go to a show so have hundreds of toys, but just like all children, they have their favorites.
This platypus is Penny's "teddy bear."

Sky Loft Suite 1718 - Allure of the Seas
Good morning,
Our friends, Martha and Russell, were aboard Allure of the Seas for two weeks and lived in a different suite each week.
Today's images are of the second week and the second suite. The bathrooms are all elegant and spacious.
Living and entertaining areas are also very, very roomy.
There is plenty of storage so you can stay for weeks at a time if you wish.
This is the guest bathroom off the living room.
Lovely!
And, finally, here is the balcony. This suite has a hot tub!
There is also plenty of room to catch some sun and watch the sunset.
That's all of the images from Martha and Russell from this fabulous vacation aboard Allure of the Seas.
Thank you so much for sharing your images! I hope our readers have enjoyed seeing them as much as I have.
All the best,
Lois

Blooming Weeds
Good morning,
The birds bring us so many seeds that thrive here.
Although those wild Morning Glories have pretty blossoms,
they have completely taken over two of our flower beds and are creeping across a walkway.
It's time to get out there and do some cutting. We wait for cooler days to do that sort of thing. Since we're home year round now, we will be able to get all of this back under control eventually.
Although they are weeds, the green is quite pretty.
How is your garden growing?
