The snow and ice just won't quit. We just got several more inches on top of what we got last week. It's hard to see in this image, but the street is completely covered and still has not been plowed.
The temperature has stayed below freezing here so the old snow just won't melt.
We here in Ohio don't have it as bad as those in Texas, though. Down there they not only aren't as prepared for serious snow, their source of power, windmills, is not keeping up with the demand. The windmills don't operate well in freezing temperatures, just when they are needed the most. The current national politicians have stopped the flow of other low cost fuels, so now the only alternative is purchasing high cost fuels from other parts of the country. My source for all of this: current news, most channels.
We hope you are staying warm wherever you are.

Yes, we are warm in Hawaii. Haha.
Hope you stay home and stay safe and warm.
Yes, what started out - at least here in WNY - as a mild winter has taken a drastic turn! My neighbor and I were talking and we realized we were into February before we cranked up the snowblowers!
It's pitiful that the current administration is taking away our energy independence. By the way, I love your blog! Also we're neighbors, I live just up the road in Butler County in Madison Township.
Thank you, everyone, for stopping by. And, welcome Jill. It's nice to meet you. Thank you for your kind words about the blog. :)
