Good morning,
Even the bright yellow dandelions are so welcome in the Spring, especially after spending so many years at sea where we missed the Spring flowers at home every other year due to our schedule.
And, after a cold, gray winter, Spring is so welcome in all her glory.
Do you have violets growing in your yard? Some people think of them as weeds, but you can also buy them to use as ground cover. When I was young we made strings of these to wear as necklaces. They are also edible and can be used to decorate cakes and other foods.
The two red tulips growing along the fence behind Wendy are not weeds. At one time, nearly 40 years ago, I planted a row of these along the entire fence. There were probably four dozen of them. I love the fact that these two beautiful tulips survived all these years.
Happy Spring!
Lois

Our yard is full of flowers: dandelions, violets, and creeping charlie; we even have some grass growing in there, but it is not as colorful :-)
warmly,
Beth
Like you, even the weeds are welcome. And yes, I have violets, especially in one flower bed and I just leave them. I think their flowers are beautiful, and the leaves are pretty, too.
Re the barn from the Smoky Mountains at my Time Stand Still blog, it was at Cade's Cove. The photos were taken years ago...probably 20-25 yrs ago at least. They are scanned in...
