Why did the Egret cross the road?

Good morning,

We enjoyed watching this flock of Egrets marching across the road at Viera Wetlands.  The birds and other critters here seem to take the visitors driving or walking through their home in stride.
Above is an overview of a section of the wetlands.  It looks so very wild, yet is very close to civilization.
Lurking in these waters are alligators, too...
...so we keep our distance as we take our pictures.

Enjoy,
Lois

You failed to answer the question. Why did the egret cross the road?

A bird lovers dream. There must be a lot of varieties of birds and ducks in that wetland. And alligators!! It would be cool to see one and get a picture but I wouldn't want it to be too close!
