I took this picture on the Royal Promenade, Deck 5 of Freedom of the Seas. I'm looking up at the ceiling where the design features artwork that appears to be the underside of an old ship and a lady diving into water. I'll surely get a better shot of this when I have my Canon mirror-less camera with me. I only happened to have my Canon Powershot this time, but still like what I got here.

I really like that second shot, putting the ceiling art and floor into perspective.
If I was to ever take a cruise, I would want almost all days to be sea days. Maye cruise from San Diego to Hawaii and back.
Such beauty on this ship. I am sure I would enjoy the question/answer session with those guys.
I can just imagine a sea day, with absolutely nothing to do but relax and enjoy being away from the rat race!

As for the ceiling art, I could not figure out what it was...if you had not told I would still be wondering. I thought it looked like some kind of giant praying mantis or something...LOL
It amazes me how much the scene looks like a small village street.
It seems that the ship that you were on is very similar to the one we had sailed with. The Promenade Deck is the main area in which to shop and just walk around. We did it a number of times on our Cruise. It was always enjoyable. The Ceiling art was very pretty on the Carnival Pride. Page back thru my Blog and you will see some of it.

The ceiling art is designed to look like the bottom of a ship from under the water. There is a sculpture of a lady diving into the water with a trail of bubbles behind her.
