U.S. Grant Memorial Bridge

Good morning,

Here are a few images of our stop at the birthplace of President U.S. Grant and the adjacent memorial bridge.
My Honey and I are both history buffs so enjoy finding these places, often small and out of the way.
This little bridge is located on US Route 52, along the Ohio River.
The bridge spans Big Indian Creek which empties into the Ohio River.
Just up the road is the small white house that is U.S. Grant's birth place.  Up the road is the Grant Memorial Church.
Beside the bridge is a stone walk way down to the banks of Big Indian Creek, just where it flows into the Ohio River.

Out on the Ohio, fish are being caught.  :)
The display at the parking lot provides more information about U.S. Grant's birthplace.
And, here we are back on the big highway on our way home.  The shortest way to go is from Ohio to Kentucky, then back to Ohio again.

I hope you enjoy our road trips and photo safaris with us.  :)

All the best,
Lois
