Florida to North Carolina

Good morning,

I took these pictures last week as we pulled away from Port Canaveral on our way back to Cincinnati.
The weather was beautiful, unlike right now here at home where it is raining as I type this.  ;)
There were a few rain clouds up there (see top of image), but we managed to drive between most of the raindrops.
We are back where cows have jobs.  :)
Whoops, raindrops.

It only took a couple of hours to move into Georgia from Florida.
I have GOT to start a file for signs of creatively named roads and towns.

We spent the first night in Georgia, then were up early and on the road again.  Here we are already in South Carolina...

 ...and soon in North Carolina.

Yes, we could fly back and forth to the port, but we would miss all of this.  The transition time between the ship and home is wonderful and we don't have to take off our shoes or endure a pat down when we get in the car.

Stay tuned for a scary (?)  highway image tomorrow.

All the best,
Lois

It seems like all oth the eastern side of the U.S. and Canada have overcast skies! I can see why tou enjoy the transition from ship to home via car, though...even if the sun is scarce.

There really are some interesting town names out there. A photo file of them would be fun to look through.

I always enjoy seeing your photos of your trips between the ship and Ohio. Driving is always more relaxing than flying, and that couple of days of transition time gives you time to shift gears.
