Maryland Farms

Good morning,

Here are a few images of barns in Western Maryland.  Above is one that appears to be a quilt barn, but it is a much more intricate design than most that I've seen.
The red barns...
...against the snow are gorgeous.
This older barn and machinery appear to have been here for a long, long time.  I love the old tractor.
 We continue West....

Enjoy,
 Lois

I usually favor red barns, but that first one has a really unique design. Thanks for sharing.

Red barns even when not in snow are wonderful to see, but add in some snow and they really pop, Lois.

I love the quilt barn and the red one that really pops out in the snowy background.

Aren't they beautiful! I love the contrast of the red barn & all that white, but the white barn is 'it' for me! I love it... also lovin the rusty side of the other one, too.

Thanks for joining =)

I was so surprised to see that first barn. I have taken a picture of it at least three times and never posted it. I always mean to get off and drive up to it and see if by any chance it would be related to a Christmas Tree farm because of the design on the block. We pass it everytime we head to DC to our son's house.
I know the last one too and it's always so busy I hate to stop but would love a photo of the brick silo in that last one. Maybe someday. :)
Love the red against the snow - made for a lovely rural scene!

They sure are pretty against the snow background, but I'd bet they look even prettier when it's green!

Wow! That red is stunning...particularly in the bright sun against the white snow! Love the tall silo near the road, too, and the quilt barn...very interesting quilt design!
