Ripley, Ohio

Good morning,

On one of our recent drives through Southern Ohio we stopped at the river town of Ripley, Ohio.

This little town has done a good job of making itself a destination with good restaurants and other attractions.

The town had a great deal to do with the Underground Railroad helping slaves cross the Ohio River and escape to the North.  Many of these buildings were built before the Civil War.

Years ago I have visited here by pleasure boat, but this time we arrived by car.

 This is the view down river.  By now all of this water has passed by the City of Cincinnati.
