Good morning,
While we were in downtown Cincinnati for My Honey's birthday dinner I took some pictures of these terrific pigs that have been a part of the city scene for some years now.
This is Fountain Square, the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Look carefully to see the Tyler Davidson Fountain in the center of the square.
More pigs in front of the Westin Hotel!
The sun was low and reflecting beautifully from the buildings.
Inside the Westin Hotel here are more pigs!
This one is covered with pennies. :)
Cincinnati long ago got the nickname "Porkopolis" because of all of the meat packing companies here. Then we became the home of flying pigs because of all of the pigs that went to heaven from those meat packing companies. (Time to chuckle here.) The story of the Porkopolis and Cincinnati Flying Pigs is here for those of you who want to know the whole truth. Inquiring minds want to know, you know!
I took many of these pictures as we were walking. We plan to return for more pictures soon.
As we were driving across Fifth Street toward I-71 North we passed the world headquarters of Procter and Gamble.
All the best,
Lois
More history of the Tyler Davidson Fountain is here.

I've seen horses and cattle done this way, but never pigs....it's cool.
Love the pigs...while in Vermont a few years ago, they have Moose statues decorated. So creative!

Reminded me of Lake Charles, Louisiana.... Only they have many many Gators all over town. Thank you for including link to the history of these cutie pigs.
