We are off of the ship in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. for a couple of hours today. Above is the view straight up at the side of the ship while I was standing on the dockside.
It is so easy to walk past monuments, memorials, and statues. I don't remember seeing this one before, but am confident it has been there for a long, long time.
Towering high above the anchor in the prior image is Old Glory.
We took the "bus" into downtown St. Thomas. It has been several years since we have done this so were looking forward to an enjoyable time with our cameras.
That blue building is the St. Thomas headquarters for The Boy Scouts of America.
When we left the bus, we could hear music coming from the park. Music Camp students from St. Thomas University were performing and the music was beautiful.
The park is lined with monuments...
...that tell the history of the islands.
I am always fascinated with windows and doors so I take pictures of many of them. This old window is on the side of...
...a government building that is...
...the Post Office.
I'll have more pictures of our trip into downtown St. Thomas to come. :)
Enjoy,
Lois
