Good morning,
The Iris are exceptionally beautiful this year and continue to bloom for weeks. I took the image above without flash in bright sunlight.
This is the same image with flash. They are both quite beautiful.
The roses have begun to bloom!
This is the same rose with flash. I like the first one best.
This one is taken shortly after a rain shower.
I am hoping we don't get heavy rain while these are blooming.
Enjoy,
Lois

I was going to comment how pretty the Iris' were then saw your beautiful roses. I can't decide which are prettier but your Iris sure looks pretty with your background. I hope you don't get heavy rains either. Enjoy
So beautiful! They haven't even begin to bloom here yet!
Wonderful!
WISH THEY WERE IN MY GARDEN!!! BEAUTIFUL! ...debbie
I love the deep rich color of your Iris.
really pretty!
Lois, your flowers are gorgeous. I love iris--the remind me of orchids. We use to have lots of them before my husband had to do away with most of his flowerbeds. I was looking on your blog for an easy yeast roll recipe. I don't have a bread maker, do you have a recipe you would recommend for me?
Love,
Marie
Hi Marie,
Thanks for your sweet comments.
You can use any of the yeast recipes I have on line for the bread maker, but you have to do all of the work/kneading yourself. Start with dry ingredients mixed together, then slowly add wet ingredients while kneading until it is all together. Then knead for another ten minutes. Set in a warm place for the first rise. Cover with a damp towel to keep it from getting "crusty" on the outside before you want crust. When it had doubled in size, knead again for five minutes, then place in pans for baking. Allow to rise again, then bake as directed in the recipe.
My bread recipes are here:

All the best,
Lois
Beautiful! I really favor that deep purple color.
Beautiful photos of the Iris, Lois. You probably received a down pour this evening...terrible storms here...just a bit northeast of you!
Yes, Wanda, lots of heavy rain right now. I hope some of the flowers survive out there.
They're beautiful, Lois!
Absolutely gorgeous flowers:)
Lois, it's nice to see your irises all standing tall, I have a few that are topheavy with blooms and falling over.
Beautiful flowers! Beautiful photos, the colors are great! thanks for sharing Joann
I'm thinking, what a wonderful bouquet they'd all make...but then, cutting them and bringing them indoors and putting them in a vase would defeat the purpose of planting them in the first place....just BEAUTIFUL!!!
Sorry I'm so late in getting over to visit with you since you left your comment in my blog ...I've been feeling poorly with a bout of the flu. Hope your week has been treating you well, and I wanted to thank you for stopping by.
My newest post if you care to view: REDHEADS
