Good morning,
Here are a few more images I took in St. Augustine, Florida, last January. That is such a wonderful time of the year to be in Florida. The air is warm, but not hot, and the sun is so welcome to those of us whose homes are further North.
We visited Castillo De San Marcos that day. Images of the inside of this US National Park are to come.
Walking along the sea was so beautiful.
And, my final image of the day is of a lone tree that is beside the walk to Castillo De San Marcos. It appears to have weathered many tropical storms and has developed quite an individual personality.
Enjoy,
Lois

It's been many years since I was in St. Augustine. Nice pictures.
The January weather in FLorida doesn't look too nad! I like the benches...
Never knew there was such a place. but it looks like an interesting place to visit! The poor tree looks lonesome and old. Must have long deep roots into those rocks!! ...debbie
Beautiful place...been there many times!
We have several friends and now a couple of fellow blogger's in FL and visiting in the winter months looks like a lovely time to go. Very nice dog walk shown in this post and that cypress is lovely.
i love that tree. :)
What blue skies!!! Beautiful.
Castillo San Marcos reminds me of the forte here, El Morro, and Castillo San Cristobal, which is smaller.
I believe there was a tunnel connecting them, but am not sure it still exists. And the dungeons are creepy!
St. Augustine is such a beautiful old city. Glad you enjoyed your visit there Lois.
Tell you what when people go to Florida or south Texas in the Winter it is really nice to get a respite from the cold.
I agree with you completely. Florida is the place to be in January. And February. And March.
Although I've been to Florida so many times and even lived there for a few years, I've never made it to St. Augustine.
