Good morning,
When we are driving between Port Canaveral, Florida, and Cincinnati, Ohio, we always know we are getting close when we see the first Cincinnati sign. The one above is near Lexington, Kentucky.
We are passing the exit to Kentucky Bourbon Trail that we explored last year when we spent a few days in Bardstown, Kentucky.
We are also passing the Kentucky Horse Park. Yes, that is my hand holding my baby camera that you see in the side mirror. ;)
The last time we visited the park had to be eight or ten years ago so it's time to go there again. Perhaps this time home.
There are some of those beautiful horses now.
We are almost home!
All the best,
Lois

How excited you must feel after being away for 10 weeks!
well howdy to your hand!!! I hope your trip is safe and fabulous!
Everyone has their landmarks as they head home. Welcome back.
a friend posted from this place a few weeks ago. very pretty.
I've had a look on google maps "Lexington, Kentucky" and I've seen near to Lexington the villages Paris and Versailles.
I hope it's all OK at home.

Always good to get home!
The area around Lexington has some of the most elegant fences in the world. I always enjoy seeing them when I go to visit my daughter and her husband.
Elusive Spring Storm

it's so nice to get away from home sometimes but then it's always extra nice to get home! i'm always afraid i'm going to drop my camera when i take pics like that, out the window!
I went to Kentucky once and loved the scenes so similar to this one. Hope you had a great trip and are enjoying being home!
I live in KY as well Lois and when I've been away and see the first sights of the bluegrass either from the road or plane it makes me happy. We have a beautiful state. Hope your horse wins tomorrow at the Derby!
Kentucky is a beautiful state. The fences seem to go on forever.
