Back in January I published a post about some friends from Texas who spent a week on board Freedom of the Seas with us. That post is here and shows the wrapped presents they brought to us for Penny and Erik.
We brought the presents home and above you see Catherine telling Erik and Penny who was so nice to send them the gifts. They didn't seem to mind that they got their Christmas presents many weeks late.
They were both so happy!
And went right to work opening their presents!
They are both very good at this. In fact they are so good that they never open anything unless we tell them it is theirs.
Every once in awhile they traded presents to work on removing the gift wrap.
They did an excellent job...
...of redecorating the carpet in our entrance hall with wrapping paper, too!
Erik and Penny even let Catherine play with their new toys, too! Catherine told them these are inside toys.
Thanks so much to Martha, Russell, and Scott for remembering Penny and Erik with such great presents. They will have a wonderful time playing tug with each other and with us.
I hope you all enjoyed seeing "the kids" open their presents. ;)
Very best,
Lois

Our old dog Willie, who passed away years ago, used to love opening gifts too. Penny and Erik looked like they were having fun!
I can't do that anymore, my Pug would eat the paper!!! LOL!
Love Di ♥
That is just too cute. You have trained them well!

What a couple of lucky pups! Looks like they enjoyed their gifts.
Presents are ALWAYS appreciated by humans AND pets, no matter when they are received as Penny and Erik showed.
Oh, what fun! Super of your friends to think of the labs.
I agree with Diana - we can't have wrapped dog presents, our Golden Retriever would eat the paper.

What thoughtful friends! Lovely pics.
I'm wondering how long it took you to clean up that mess!!
Nice to see the well behaved 'kids' enjoying their treats.
Penny and Erik look so happy! I can tell they were very thankful. :)
I did enjoy these photos! Penny and Erik look like great dogs, (as if there's any other kind!). I love giving my girl presents, too...:)

Thank you for stopping by and your kind words.
