What will you be doing tonight to celebrate the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011?
We are aboard Freedom of the Seas so our plans are to enjoy a formal party (see above), then...
...a delicious dinner. That image above (filet mignon and lobster tail) and the one below...
...the "sampler" dessert were taken in Portofino, the specialty Italian restaurant aboard Freedom of the Seas.
We will toast the new year with a glass of sparkling water. :)
Have a Safe and Happy New Year, my friends!
Lois

Wonderful food Lois!
A wondeful New Years to you and Hubby. Just checked out his pic from 2010 AMAZING!
See ya next year!
We "NEVER" go out on New Year's Eve. Too many amateur drinkers are out on the road. We're not drinkers or party-ers, so we'll be staying in where it's safe and warm. We just received another 10" of snow, and it's 9 below this morning. We saw about 500 head of antelope yesterday right by town, plowing through the snow. Hope they don't starve. We had already received tons of snow before the recent snowfall!
Happy New year Lois!
I can tell you ONE thing!! I would like to be on that ship for New Years!! What a blast that would be. We haven't gone out in years. Ususally we are watching the girls. I stand out on the front porch and band a pot with a big spoon and listen and watch the fireworks!! Happy New Year Lois!!!! ...debbie
Looks like a lovely party on the ship. We're staying home this year, which makes getting up to start the New Year a whole lot easier!
Hello Lois
Happy New Year to you and the family - you must tell all in your next post.........you know - who kissed who and who propositioned the Captain lol
Take care
Cathy
Good morning and Happy New Year once again, my friends!
New Years Eve celebrations here on board Freedom were terrific last night. At the stroke of Midnight we were in the Viking Crown Lounge with friends who are cruising with us this week.
The same as many of you, if we are home in Ohio we don't go out on New Years Eve. We stay home with the dogs (daughter is with them this year), watch the ball drop in New York, and generally ignore all the sounds in the neighborhood so the dogs won't be alarmed by them. The dogs we have now don't seem to be too upset with holiday sounds outside.
No hanky panky here, Cathy. The Captain's fiance and the Chief Engineer's and Staff Captain's wives are on board. ;) Contrary to the old Love Boat shows, these guys are pretty old fashioned about their private lives. They are officers and gentlemen.
Tomorrow we will be in a US port so I will be able to check in to all of your blogs via my Verizon connection. I so look forward to catching up!
Thank you all so much for stopping by.
Very best,
Lois
Your dinner looks fantastic! I got a little psyched out when you said Portofino...I thought you were in Portofino, the town and I was ready to scream that you didn't give me a heads up so I could run over and say hi! I had a dessert last night that looked a lot like the top right one on your sampler tray. Was it a mini tiramisu? That's what mine was. I spent a lovely evening with a crew of american and italian friends eating and watching the fireworks over the port in San Remo.
Happy New Year to you!
