Labadee is one of the private destinations for Royal Caribbean ships.
Although I didn't go ashore this particular day, I did take a stroll around the deck to enjoy the gorgeous views.
Looking over the side of Freedom of the Seas, I could see the picnic lunch being packed to take ashore and serve to several thousand people. It's a very fast, efficient process.
When I first came to Labadee many years ago, there was no dock so guests were tendered ashore from the ship. Now it is just an easy walk to the beach.
This is another one of those ports where extra mooring had to be installed to accommodate huge ships such as ours.
My favorite view today, though, is of the sea and reflections in the windows of the dining room on deck 4. It seems the sea and the ship just blend together. Fabulous!
Enjoy!
Lois

That last shot is indeed spectacular!
Good morning,
Yes, Labadee is a special spot. It is a private desitination so only Royal Caribbean ships call there. Coming soon will be some pictures ashore.
Thank you, everyone, for stopping by.
Very best,
Lois
