Good morning,
We're out for a drive again. This time we are in Southern Indiana.
We enjoy little towns and how they have stayed so much the same through the years.
The architecture of the row of buildings along the main street is the same as it has been since the buildings were built. I've researched the age of the town and the closest I can come is the mid-1800's.
Flags are everywhere...
...in this proud little American town of fewer than 3,000 people.
There are no more than six traffic lights when you pass through Brookville.
The size of this church indicates it serves a large area.
We truly enjoy getting off the beaten path and exploring small towns.
All the best,
Lois

For a town of less than 3,000 it seems fairly bustling. And six traffic lights? Many towns that size in Texas don't have one! This almost looks like a big city where I live! And is that a courthouse I see with the bell tower? That would be my first photo op! I love small town scenes and hope you have many more!
...that church is very impressive!! I too like to venture into the small towns and get a view of the culture within.
What a real nice drive, I'd love to be walking down some of those streets.
This reminds me of the small towns and villages near Rochester, NY, where I live. . . Geneseo, Mt. Morris, Honeoye Falls, Lima, Brockport. They just have a character that you can't find in the big cities. Nice post.
Brookville is just lovely... so wonderful that you got off the interstate to experience it on your drive. That church is gorgeous! (do you know it's name? :)
Have a lovely week!

I like small towns also. To visit!! I like living in larger towns.
i love these towns, too. old buildings, old streets. charm for blocks!
It's fun to visit the smaller towns. I'm all for that...We had to navigate down-town Minneapolis when we went to the Ohio Air Show in 2007. Big cities are not for me. Columbus, Ohio was pretty big too!
We always enjoy little towns...love seeing the old buildings and like trying hometown cares.
Very pretty little town! We have quite a few that look like that here in northern Florida.
Are they listed buildings, I hope they will.
Such a great little town and impressive sized church for the population! I enjoyed the pictures!
Nice to see pictures from the small town in Indiana!
