Our daughter, Catherine, and our dogs Penny and Erik were in another Agility Trial last weekend. We were there to cheer them on and take some pictures.
Here is Penny getting a hug from Catherine before their run.
And, they're off!What a team!
Then it was Erik's turn...
...Erik is four years younger than Penny, but is moving fast to match her in titles.
Our friend, Erica, was also there competing with Tressel. They, too, did very well in the competition.
Here are My Honey and Catherine. We are so proud of Catherine, Penny, and Erik.
All the best,
Lois

I would love to attend an event like this! how long do the puppies have to train before competing? Congrats to the team!
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to watch something like this!
ReplyDeleteMY KIND OF POST!!! I would love to see this in person. Maybe one of these days I'll be doing this with my new puppy. . . whenever I get her!
ReplyDeleteHow did your two get on then?
ReplyDeleteI always thought that would be fun. Never did it. But, the little Havanese is suppose to be a great agility dog. Should I dare try it?? lol....debbie
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone,
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, the dogs have to be six months old before they can compete. But, they go to the dog club many times before that for puppy classes and just fun times to get used to being with other dogs and being good citizens.
Sherry, it's a BLAST! I'm sure you would enjoy this!
Bob, the "kids" brought home many more ribbons and each reached a new title that day. :))) <-- still extremely proud Mom.
Debbie, small dogs can do this, too. They have lower jump heights that fit them just fine. :) Dogs of all sizes seem to love it!
Thanks, everyone, for stopping by and for your very kind comments.
All the best,
Lois
love your smart, beautiful dogs, and your hard-working, talented daughter, too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a few well trained and hard working teams to me.
ReplyDeleteThat would have been fun to watch. I enjoyed the pics very much!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Lots of training for those dogs.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Lois. Looks like these activities keep the dogs beautifully fit and happy!
ReplyDeleteAmazing abilities....and such loyal, pride you can see in their faces and acts!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lois, Congrats to Katherine, Peny and Erik. Just wondering if anyone ever thought of giving prizes to the human trainers in the agility tests :-)
ReplyDeleteI bet they have a blast doing this....I would have fun watching.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Catherine gets quite a workout in the trials.
ReplyDeleteWell done! I would have loved to have been there!:)
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! and great exercise too.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Must so fun to watch your "kids" compete. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lois, i do make a decent red cabbage, but would love to know the way you make it with redcurrants.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, everyone for your very kind comments.
ReplyDeleteThere's a question here about currants that had to do with a comment I left on another blog. Here's the answer to the currant question in relation to my Norwegian Cabbage recipe:
It's a pretty easy recipe. I published it here:
http://loishands.blogspot.com/2010/06/norwegian-style-red-cabbage-and-moms.html
I use the currant jelly if I don't have fresh currants. If fresh currants are available, cook down a cup of currants in 1/4 cup water until only 1/2 cup remains, then add to cabbage in recipe.
Yum!
All the best,
Lois
It's great that the dogs can stay so focused for these competitions. Congratulations to your "team".
