Good morning,
Meet Willy (Yellow Lab) and Dyson (Black Lab), our new grand dogs. This was our first time to meet them, too.
When we arrived at our son's home, only the dogs were out and standing just inside their electric fence telling us they didn't know us and we weren't allowed on the property. I had to call my son inside the house and ask him to call off the dogs so we could get to the door. As soon as our granddaughter came out and told Willy and Dyson that we are "OK," everything was just fine with lots of wags and licks.
Our son and family adopted Willy and Dyson from a friend of Catherine's at the dog club about a month ago while we were still at sea. The friend was moving from a home to an apartment and sadly couldn't take her dogs with her. The situation worked out very well for our son, wife, and six kids! It worked well for Willy and Dyson, too, because they are able to stay together.
Willy and Dyson are trained therapy dogs and the perfect family members.
Right after I took the picture above Don opened the kennels and the dogs came out wagging to play with us and the children. I had so much fun watching them with everyone and showing us all of their tricks that I forgot to take more pictures. Would you believe it? Me! I forgot to take more pictures! I'm sure there will be more opportunities. :))
If the dogs look a great deal like our dogs, there is a good reason for it. They are from the same breeder and are related to our Erik. :)
All the best,
Lois
How cute! We need more pictures of them!!!
ReplyDeleteWilly and Dyson are lovely: not many dogs around here behave so well and obviously the fault is with their incompetent masters.
ReplyDeleteIt is not rare that a passer-by or even a kid is attacked by a dog, the last time just yesterday, in the town center.

ReplyDeleteGreat story!! Love to hear when a great plan comes together and everyone is happy!! Especially Willy and Dyson. Is Dyson named after the vacuum cleaner? Maybe he sucks his food down with great Gusto!!! lol ...debbie
