OK, I'll clarify. We weren't in Tokyo, Japan, we were at Tokyo Restaurant in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Our daughter, Catherine, and her friend took us out to dinner. We've eaten here before and really enjoy the food and the people here.
The building has a Mexican flavor (recycle, reuse), but the food is most definitely Japanese.
Soup...
...salad...
...and sushi!
I had a hard time remembering to take pictures before we started eating.
This is my steak dinner...
...someone else had salmon...
...and, of course, hot tea. :)
I asked the young lady working there if it was OK to take pictures for my blog and she immediately started giving me a tour. We know her from many prior visits to the restaurant.
My guide took me to see a pond her grandfather had built. The turtle to the right is a decoration, but there is also a live turtle in the pond that is about half the size. The live turtle didn't want to surface for a photo session, but the fish are clearly visible.
Thank you, Catherine and friend, for taking us out to dinner. :)
Best,
Lois
