Today we are making the last leg of our journey home to Ohio from Port Canaveral, Florida.
We are on the road just North of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
It wasn't long before we were in the Bluegrass State.
The weather was beautiful here. The ice and snow were gone.
The green of Spring was just beginning to creep into the valley below.
Of course, Kentucky is home to beautiful horse farms...
...the cows love bluegrass, too.
This is tobacco bundled to go to auction. I haven't seen this for years.
Here near Lexington is the first road sign listing our destination: Cincinnati. :))
Beautiful farms and barns are everywhere.
A tobacco drying barn...
...and just a few miles later we come over the hill where we can see Cincinnati on the other side of the Ohio River.
To our right is the Covington, Kentucky, clock tower.
Now across the river in Ohio, we will pass downtown Cincinnati...
...past the gazebo...
...Krohn Conservatory...
...the Eden Park Water Tower......under the Eden Park Bridge...
...and past Mirror Lake where we have taken so many pictures so many times.
The next stop was home, greeting dogs, emptying the car, starting the laundry.... ;) There's just no place like home!
Our daughter arrived shortly after we did. It is so good to be home.
I hope you've enjoyed our journey with us.
Very best,
Lois
