OK, I couldn't help myself with the title.
This happens every Spring just as soon as the ground is dry and the sun is high in the sky. Our Labs just love to go out and catch some rays.
Notice she has her toy with her, too.

We call our cats naked too when they've managed to slip their collars. They do look like they are missing something.
