Turtles at Viera Wetlands

Good morning,

Today's images are from Viera Wetlands in Florida once again.  We just love visiting there and I have so many images I haven't shared here yet.

Some of my favorite critters were sunning themselves on this trip.  Note the turtles on the rock in the center of the image.  Beyond there are duck families sticking together as they move across the water.  This is alligator infested water so they are always on the lookout and we sometimes see groups of them take off quickly when an alligator gets too close.
Life on the lake.  :)
I have no idea why I have such a fascination with turtles, but I just love it when we are able to see them in the wild.

Enjoy,
Lois

  1. That's pretty cool, Lois! We don't really see turtles too often here. We probably just aren't around the spots where they'd be.

  4. Oh no, I have visions of little duckies being snatched from the middle of the group... :-o We have a conservation area behind our house and get turtles up on the grass a lot. They are so funny. Frogs, though, kind of freak me out...
