Rest Stop Garden

Good morning,

We've stopped at this rest stop on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina many times.
Each and every time we stop, we see beautiful flowers and scenery depending on the season.
The garden is gorgeous!

A plaque with thanks to those who envisioned improvements.

There was a fabulous aroma in the air.
This rest stop is also a park, garden, and place for a picnic.

Rest stops sure have changed since I was a child!

Enjoy,
Lois

Beautiful rest stop! Each state takes such a different approach to their rest stops, but I always appreciate those that are a little extra special.

How pretty! Stopping by from Friday Fences. Gardens are the best when shared with others!

Was just going to say that some rest stops are just like parks or gardens. Now you've got me trying to remember that beautiful rest stop on a hill in North Carolina! Only where was it?

those gardens are beautiful! yes, i remember rest stops being kind of plain as a kid. we'd stop to have lunch, pretty much just a few picnic tables!

Hi,

If I remember correctly, this rest stop is on I-26 on the border of TN and NC.

And, for those who remember just picnic tables at rest stops, I remember when there was only a little "shed" with a seat with a hole at rest stops! ;)

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by and for your very kind comments.

All the best,
Lois
