Good morning,
I was going through my pictures looking for something GREEN for St. Pat's Day today. Right now, most of my pictures are of snow so that didn't work at all.
I did find green in these images that were taken during our visit to the Chilo River Museum early last Fall so this is the perfect time to share them with you.
The building that houses the museum was part of the Ohio River dam system, built nearly 100 years ago.
Inside the museum are some marvelous displays that we enjoyed tremendously.
Stories of life on the river and displays of some of the equipment used to move the huge steamboats through the locks are a great learning experience.
My Honey really liked this!
It is so much fun to explore close to home and find such wonderful places.
Outside on the property there is a park for the kids, too.
So, I found some green for today. Hopefully, we'll have some more green outside soon, too.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Enjoy,
Lois

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, too! Like the Red-winged Blackbird, it's a harbinger of spring.
Ha! Finding something GREEN really is a challenge this time of year. But the museum was a good choice, I enjoyed my visit.
Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Nice post, Lois! My husband and I really enjoy museums as well. As for green, well we had a new snowfall night before last, so guess the green is a ways off yet! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you as well.
I love museums that old machinery.

I would love to visit this place...
Visting dams is a lot of fun and more so when they have interesting exhibits like this one. Thank you for sharing.

May you have warm words on a cold evening,
a full moon on a dark night,
and the road downhill all the way to your door.
I would really enjoy going through this myself.
Happy St. Pat's Day to you Lois.
I wasn't familiar with this lock and dam. Interesting. And, I was glad to learn of the leprechaun in your kitchen.
Love these museums, hope the green comes soon.
This gives me Deja Vu, wonder if I've been there.
Happy (Belated) St Pats Day!
