Lunch at Moyer Vineyard and Restaurant

Good morning,

We've walked around the grounds of Moyer Vineyard and Restaurant and now our table is about ready.
It's a bit of Cincinnati history that John Ruthven was involved in the design of the restaurant.  He is well known as a Cincinnati Wildlife Painter.
We were here on a Sunday.  This is a dry county so there will be no wine today, but that's OK with us.
 We went inside...
...and I took a few pictures inside as our balcony table was being prepared.

Finally, we were seated at our balcony table overlooking the garden area where we had been previously.  We discovered we had missed the passing of the Mississippi Queen by about an hour.

The food here is marvelous.  This was not our first visit so we knew we were in for a treat.
I did a very good job of getting pictures of the salad, and bread basket, but when the filet mignon arrived, I was busy taking pictures of the passing barge so I totally forgot to take a picture of the food.  *sigh*  I've had that problem before.
While we were eating we enjoyed river traffic.

A great lunch with a beautiful view.  We had a fabulous day!

I hope you've enjoyed it with us.

All the best,
Lois

  5. My mouth watered when I saw that shrimp cocktail! We've camped several times on the banks of the Mississippi River, and we loved to watch all the traffic on the river. Just fascinating!
